Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, Great Lakes Northern Forest (CESU): U.S. Geological Surveyâ¿¿s (USGS) Great Lakes Science Center is offering a funding opportunity for research on development of functional assessment of Great Lakes coastal wetlands in the Great Lakes basin. This research will support a continued collaboration to spatially and comprehensively assess the Great Lakes landscape for coastal wetland restoration, which have been explicitly identified as a high priority need in the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) Action Plan II, as well as the USGS Science Framework Habitat and Species Theme Objectives, Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement, and many other regional, national and binational initiatives.
