Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, Rocky Mountain CESU: The US Geological Survey, Northern Rocky Mountain Science Center (NOROCK) is offering a funding opportunity to analyze existing elk (Cervus canadensis) blood test data to determine if experimental manipulations of feed distribution and feeding season duration are succeeding in lowering elk-to-elk brucellosis transmission (as indicated by site specific seroprevalence) over time. In undertaking this effort, will need to assess the degree to which experimental manipulations have been implemented across elk feedgrounds in the Greater Yellowstone Area of Wyoming. The development of general linear regression models will be necessary to evaluate whether there is a correlation between the treatment intensity and changes in elk seroprevalence before and after the inception of the altered feeding while control for other potentially confounding factors, such as time, site, elk age and sex.
