Coordinate the Construction of Waters and Forage Enhancements at a New Semi-Captive Breeding Pen for Sonoran Pronghorn: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in cooperation with the Arizona Game and Fish Department, Luke Air Force Base, Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, U.S. Army Garrison Yuma Proving Ground, Bureau of Land Management, and National Park Service propose to reestablish additional Sonoran pronghorn (Antilocapra americana sonorensis) populations within their historic range in southern Arizona. The proposed action consists of two components: 1) construction and operation of a second captive-rearing pen; and 2) capture-relocate-release of Sonoran pronghorn.Upon the construction of the second captive-rearing pen, these actions will follow prior to populating the new pen with Sonoran pronghorn:- develop a well for the forage plot to supply irrigation water and provide a water source for Sonoran pronghorn;- develop a forage enhancement plot inside the pen enclosure to irrigate native vegetation; - develop at least two water sources including one inside of the pen.
