Creating Smoky Mountain Environmental Leaders: The Agreement is entered into for the purposes of educating youth about the valuable resources in Great Smoky Mountain National Park and the continued role they can play in the stewardship of this and other national parks. The project was developed in an effort to provide local high school and college students an opportunity to learn resource stewardship ethics by participating in career enhancing activities that promote leadership and participatory citizenship qualities in the youth.
