Cross Cultural Capacity Building Landscape Conservation and Climate Change Adaptation: Goal: Engage a person or persons to represent their tribe in adaptive management opportunities and identify activities, goals and needs from each respective tribe. Objective 1: Convene site visits meeting with designated Tribal representatives and travel to Canada and Montana to establish a network of people representing the respective tribes within the Crown of the Continent and identify their needs. Objective 2: Assist in developing survey instruments to collect data on individual or tribal adaptation related to gathering, ranching, farming or other important collaborative activities including the BFCC survey of Blackfeet Traditional Practices. Objective 3: Liaise with other Tribal projects and initiatives, such as the Environment Departments climate planning effort, the Blackfeet Natural Resources Conservation District and the CSKT Climate Change Oversight Committee. PI will also participate in the CRT annual conference, and one other tribal managers meeting. Objective 4: Convene a fall workshop with representatives from each respective Tribal Nation to share and discuss issues around climate adaptation work in the Crown.
