DS Domestication Study: Lab Experiments to investigate domestication selection in captive populations. 1.Keep wild delta smelt collected in November 2016 alive until at least March 2018 as the broodstock. 2.Spawn and culture delta smelt offspring from eggs to spawning stage. 3.Assess fish health daily and perform treatment when needed. 4.Conduct length/weight measurements. 5.Hard-count the fish numbers to obtain survival data. 6.Thin the fish numbers in tanks when needed. 7.Statistical analyses to determine the difference between groups. 8.Write a report with management recommendations.
