Grant Description: Secretarys Forecast Summary CDC-RFA-PS07-721 CDCs Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, "Developing and Implementing a Package of Clinic Based and Community Based Palliative Care for the Orphans and Vulnerable Children Interventions in Selected Sites and Departments and Reinforcing a Prevention Program with the Uniformed Service Men and Women of the Republic of Haiti under the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief." Approximately $1,600,000 will be available in fiscal year 2007 to fund approximately one award to local, indigenous public and private, non-profit organizations based in Haiti. The purpose of the program is to provide a funding mechanism to deliver a wide range of psychosocial and material support to people who are living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), their dependants, and their families.
