Development of Pilot Juvenile Salmon Collectors for Use Above High Head Dams: The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a cooperative agreement to California Department of Water Resources under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 15.512, Public Law 102-575, Central Valley Project Improvement Act, Title XXXIV, Section 3406 (b)(1) and Section 3407(e). Estimated total amount of agreement is $8,594,322.00. Reclamation is providing $2,500,000.00 in Fiscal Year 2017. The objectives of the project are to: 1) Complete the design, fabrication, installation, testing and full operation of the juvenile salmon collection systems; and 2) Identify and evaluate the long-term fish passage options at Shasta Dam and other high dams of the Central Valley Project. (Refer to the Notice of Intent to Award Announcement No. BOR-MP-17-N033 for additional information) A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2.14(B)(4) is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals.
