Grant Description
CDCs Procurement and Grants Office has published a funding opportunity announcement entitled, "Dissertation Grant Awards for Violence-Related Injury Prevention Research in Minority Communities." $100,000 [this amount is an estimate, and subject to the availability of funds] will be available in fiscal year 2007 to fund four awards. The purpose of this program is to encourage doctoral candidates from a wide spectrum of disciplines including: epidemiology, medicine, biostatistics, health economics, public health, law and criminal justice, and the behavioral and social sciences to perform research in order to prevent and control injuries more effectively. The estimated funding date is August 31, 2007.
