Drug Prevention and Awareness Programming in Honduras: INL seeks to work with the Government of Honduras, the multilateral community and the NGO community to reduce drug use in Honduras. To address this goal, INL will support public education programs in the cities of Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula, Choloma, La Lima, and La Ceiba that raise awareness of the dangers of drug abuse and its ties to violent crime and/or provide healthy alternatives or lifestyles to potential drug users. INL seeks to address these goals by providing grants to a limited number of qualified organizations with the capacity to develop, implement, and monitor these programs across these five cities.
