East Georgia Employment and Infrastructure Initiative (GEII EAST): The United States Agency for International Deveopment (USAID/Caucasus) is seeking applications for an Assistance Agreement for funding a program for East Georgia Employment and Infrastructure Initiative (GEII EAST). The authority for the RFA is found in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended. The Recipient will be responsible for ensuring achievement of the program objective to promote community mobilization as a tool leading to improvement of livelihood in communities of Eastern Georgia (regions of Kakheti, Mthkheta-Mtianeti, Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli, and Samtshke-Javakheti) through addressing at the grassroots level the inability of communities to meet their most significant needs and the lack of employment. The separate notice will be posted for the West Georgia Employment and Infrastructure Initiative. Both East and West Georgia Employment and Infrastructure Initiatives will complete the transition of USAID community mobilization activities in Georgia from a humanitarian assistance program to sustainable community mobilization programs.
