- Grant Description
- The purpose of this FOA is to seek a cooperative agreement for evaluating the effectiveness of a hospital-based program for vaccination of birth mothers and other household contacts with influenza (Trivalent Inactivated Vaccine -TIV, Live Attenuated Intranasal Vaccine LAIV) vaccine and combined tetanus, diphtheria and acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine. Progress toward achievement of this goal will be evidenced by the design and implementation of a hospital-based program for the provision of these vaccines to birth mothers and household contacts which can be self sustaining once the project period ends and whose methods are practical for adoption in birth hospitals serving a variety of populations.
