Emergency Communication Networks: The purpose of this activity is to establish a communications network, including the purchase and operation of communications equipment, including satellite phones, for community health centers and those entities (including major medical centers and departments of public health) deemed by the state associations of community health centers to be critical in providing health care in the event of a future hurricane or other natural disaster in states affected by hurricane Katrina and other hurricanes of the 2005 season.
