Enhancing Pandemic Influenza Response in Tanzania: The U.S. Agency for International Development Mission in Tanzania (USAID/Tanzania) is issuing this Request for Application (RFA) for a Cooperative Agreement (CA) to establish comprehensive influenza response in Tanzania. The initial response will enhance influenza surveillance and detection in Tanzania by establishing human and animal influenza surveillance, with a particular emphasis on detecting influenza strains with pandemic potential, and by establishing in-country laboratory capacity for detection, isolation and subtyping of the influenza virus.
