Enhancing the Protected Areas Database of the United States (PAD-US): The purpose of this project is to enhance the Protected Areas Database of the United States (PAD-US) to better support national and North American inquiries into conservation, recreation and public health, and applications for recreational uses. This project will result in published plans to guide stakeholder organizations and agencies in completing a national inventory of public parks and recreation and the State of North American Conservation. The plans will be developed through collaborative engagement and will secure high level endorsement and support from those participating.
