Grant Description
In cooperation with the FWS, the University of California Santa Cruz will conduct the study entitled, An assessment of the biological impact of contaminants and management actions that influence the long-term persistence of the California Condor; the project purpose is to synthesize existing data and collect new data on the risks of contaminants to condors, quantify baseline measures of condor survival/reproductive success and develop demographic modeling approaches that estimate how contaminants, global climate change, future habitat suitability and management efforts will impact condor population recovery.
