- Eligible applicants include Native American Tribal governments (Federally recognized); Native American Tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized Tribal governments); Federally Recognized Indian Tribes; incorporated non-Federally recognized and State-recognized Indian Tribes; Alaska Native Villages, as defined in the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANSCA) and/or non-profit Village consortia; non-profit Alaska Native Regional Corporations/Associations with Village-specific projects; non-profit Native organizations in Alaska with Village-specific projects; other Tribal or Village organizations or consortia of Indian Tribes; and Tribal governing bodies (Indian Reorganization Act or Traditional Councils) as recognized by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Foreign entities are not eligible under this announcement.

- The Administration for Native Americans (ANA), within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), announces the availability of Federal funds for eligible applicants to mitigate environmental impacts on Indian lands due to Department of Defense (DOD) activities on Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS). Financial assistance is provided utilizing the competitive process in accordance with the Native Americans Programs Act (NAPA) of 1974, as amended.
