- The National Center Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID) of CDC within HHS is committed to achieving the health promotion and disease prevention objectives of "Healthy People 2010" and to measuring program performance as stipulated by the Government Performance and Review Act (GPRA). This RFA addresses "Healthy People 2010" priority area(s) of reduce hospital-acquired infections in intensive care unit patients, reduce central-line blood stream infections, and reduce the incidence of invasive methicillin-resistance staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections and is in alignment with NCEZID's (proposed) performance goal(s) to protect Americans from infectious diseases.
