Epidemiological MCH/SPH Institute: To meet the MCHB goals of training the MCH workforce, and especially to enhance the epidemiologic capacity for assessment, planning and delivery of health services to the MCH population, the Office of Data and Program Development (ODPD) is continuing support of this training grant under the Special Projects of Regional and National Significance (SPRANS). The grant will provide support to one or more doctoral students per university who elect a relevant MCH applied epidemiologic analysis as the basis for their research and dissertation, utilizing program information and data from a State, county or city department of health. Awards are made under the program authority of Title V, Section 502(a) of the Social Security Act, the MCH Federal set-aside program.
