Exploring and Restoring the Anacostia River: This is NOT a request for applications. This is just a public notice that a task agreement will be entered into with the Anacostia Watershed Society under an existing cooperative agreement P18AC01024.1. The Recipient shall carry out the Statement of Work in accordance with the terms and conditions stated herein. The Recipient shall adhere to Federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and codes, as applicable.2. Collaborate with National Park Service (NPS) on the development of educational and interpretive programming related to Anacostia River and Chesapeake Bay themes and the themes of the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail (Chesapeake Trail) and other national trails of the Anacostia River.3. Design and implement educational, recreational and stewardship events along the Anacostia River with a focus on engaging diverse communities and increasing outdoor recreational access to the river.4. Provide training to Anacostia Watershed Society's program staff to optimize the delivery of interpretive and educational content, including themes of the Anacostia River, Chesapeake Bay, Chesapeake Trail and other national trails of the Anacostia River.5. Work closely with NPS staff to ensure that projects are consistent with NPS policies, standards, guidelines, and priorities as appropriate; and comply with the terms of applicable laws, regulations, and government policies.6. Maintain regular communication with NPS staff to ensure that work is implemented effectively and that issues are identified and readily addressed.
