FY 2004 BJA Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Community Engagement and Media Outreach Technical Assistance: Competitive Grant Announcement: Through the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Community Engagement and Media Outreach Technical Assistance programs, BJA will fund specialized support in the areas of Community Engagement and Media Outreach to the 94 local PSN task forces. It is envisioned that this will be accomplished through a combination of on-site and office-based technical assistance (TA), training, and development and dissemination of resource materials. Two awards will be granted through this competitive solicitation process. Applicants applying for funding under the Community Engagement Technical Assistance are eligible for up to $1,000,000 in funding; applicants under the Media Outreach Technical Assistance are eligible for up to $500,000. Applicants can apply for one or both awards, however a separate application must be submitted for each. The awards will be managed as cooperative agreements. The award period will be for 24 months. BJA reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time based on BJA's needs, the availability of funds, and/or the grantee's performance.
