FY 2005 Intercity Passenger Rail Security Grant Program: Funding is being made available to Amtrak for the protection of critical infrastructure and emergency preparedness activities. DHS will partner with Amtrak, the major national passenger railroad, to develop security enhancements for intercity passenger rail operations along Amtraks Northeast Corridor (service between Washington, D.C,. and Boston, MA) and at its hub in Chicago, IL. .
