This funding opportunity is restricted to Amtrak rail & passenger train service in select areas serviced by Amtrak. No other individual or entitity is eligible to apply.
Grant Description
Funding is being made available to Amtrak for the protection of critical infrastructure and emergency preparedness activities. DHS will partner with Amtrak, the major national passenger railroad, to develop security enhancements for intercity passenger rail operations along Amtraks Northeast Corridor (service between Washington, D.C,. and Boston, MA) and at its hub in Chicago, IL. . ODP is one of the program offices which administers non-disaster grants for DHS. ODP was transferred to DHS when the agency was established. However, ODPs grant management system, web site, etc., are still situated within its' legacy agency's IT system.
