The FY 2005 Port Security Grant Program provides financial assistance to owners and operators of ports, terminals, U.S. inspected passenger vessels and ferries, as well as port authorities and State and local agencies to improve security for operators and passengers through physical security enhancements. Based on a risk-based evaluation, 66 ports have been identified for inclusion in the FY 2005 Port Security Grant Program. . The Office for Domestic Preparedness (ODP) was transferred to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) when the agency was established.
