Grant Description
Application A: The USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) has approximately $1.5 million in fiscal year (FY) 2006 funds available for Special Project Grants to WIC State Agencies. The grant funds will be available only to the 90 WIC State Agencies responsible for administering WIC in the States, Territories, and Indian Tribal Organizations (ITOs). FNS anticipates making grant awards ranging from $100,000 to $500,000 each. Application B: The USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) announce the availability of approximately $150,000 dollars in fiscal year (FY) 2006 funds for concept paper development. These funds will be used to develop FY 2006 concept papers into full grant proposals for submission for the FY 2007 WIC Special Project Grants application cycle. Up to 10 grants of $15,000 each will be awarded to State Agencies by September 30, 2006. The actual number of concept paper awards will depend on the quality of the application(s) and how much of the FY 2006 funds will be used to fund the FY 2006 WIC Special Project Grants.
