FY 2007 NGO Programs for Food Assistance to Refugee Populations in Thailand: The Bureau will accept applications from NGOs and other international organizations for continued food assistance for populations in four camps in Mae Hong Son Province, Thailand, and additional camps if funding permits, for the period July 1, 2007- June 30, 2008. Proposals should include a plan to ensure food needs of the population are met through nutritionally complete rations containing at least 2,100 KCals per person per day. Project plans should ensure malnutrition among camp residents remains at or below current levels. Requests may be considered for other camp needs such as shelter materials, cooking fuel, and cooking oil. Proposals should demonstrate coordination with appropriate agencies, including the Coordinating Committee for Services to Displaced Persons in Thailand, the Government of Thailand, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
