- The purpose of the Rail Safety Improvements project is to eliminate the noise from commuter and freight trains blowing their horns as they pass over eight adjacent public crossings in Tualatin and Washington County, Oregon. This $250,000 Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) FY 2010 Rail Line Relocation Earmark will be used to partially fund safety improvements at Avery St., in Tualatin, Oregon, one of the eight crossings in the Rail Safety Improvements project.
