Faculty Research Awards for Historically Black, Hispanic-Serving, and Tribal Colleges and Universities: Faculty Research Awards support research in the humanities by individual faculty members at Historically Black, Hispanic-Serving, and Tribal Colleges and Universities. The awards support projects that contribute to scholarly knowledge or to the public's understanding of the humanities in the form of publications, presentations, and classroom teaching. Awards are made to individual faculty or to two faculty members collaborating on a single project. They provide time-flexible support for projects that can be completed during the tenure of the award, as well as for work that is part of a long-term endeavor. Faculty collaborating on a project must submit separate applications. Each application must clearly explain the larger project and contributions of each participant. All collaborative projects must be integrated.
