Family Violence Prevention and Services Discretionary Grants: National and Special Issue Resource Centers - Special Issue Resource Center (SIRC): The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Administration on Children, Youth and Families (ACYF), Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) announces the solicitation of applications for fourawards for cooperative agreementsunder the Family Violence Prevention and Services Discretionary Grants program to support Special Issue Resources Centers (SIRCs). The SIRCs will focus on enhancing domestic violence intervention and prevention within at least one of the following areas: criminal and civil justice systems; child protective services and child custody; health care systems; or mental health systems.These resourcecenters arepart of a networkof National and Special Issue Resource Centers providing leadership and support to the existing programs serving victims of domestic violence and their children. The original funding opportunity (FOA) announcing the availability of awards for National and Special Issue Resource Centers (HHS-2011-ACF-ACYF-EV-0188) has been cancelled. The original FOA is replaced by four FOAs that solicit applications for the four types of centers separately. - To be eligible to receive a grant to establish or maintain a Special Issue Resource Center (SIRC) under Section 310 of the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA)as amended by Section 201 of the CAPTA Reauthorization Act of 2010, Pub. L. 111-320, an entity shall be a private non-profit organization that focuses primarily on domestic violence and that can demonstrate the ability to meet the specific FVPSA eligibility requirements for the SIRC. For additional details on the eligibility requirements for SIRCs please see Section 310 of the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act, as amended by Section 201 of the CAPTA Reauthorization Act of 2010, Pub. L. 111-320. Faith-based and community organizations that meet eligibility requirements are eligible to receive awards under this funding opportunity announcement. Individuals, foreign entities, and sole proprietorship organizations are not eligible to compete for, or receive, awards made under this announcement.
