Family Violence Prevention and Services/Technical Assistance and Resource Development to Expand Services for Children and Youth: This funding opportunity will support one project to gather and disseminate information on best practices and available technical assistance for programs serving children exposed to domestic violence, as well as provide technical assistance and support the evaluation process for recipients of the Expanding Services for Children and Youth grants. By the end of the grant period, the grantee will be expected to collate nationwide resources on promising practices and available technical assistance for programs serving children exposed to domestic violence. The grantee will assist the FVPSA Program efforts to develop guidance and enhance responses for children exposed to domestic violence. The grantee will not duplicate the work of other youth-focused resource centers and will focus on the provision of services to children exposed to domestic violence, not other children's issues such as custody, internet safety, or general research. The grantee is not expected to establish a stand-alone resource center. Rather it will be a hub of information on existing resources and emerging practices for service providers, State Domestic Violence Coalitions, States and Tribes. The resources compiled by the grantee will be available to Expanding Services for Children and Youth current and future grantees, as well as other domestic violence service providers. The grantee will also have provided technical support, including facilitating peer-to-peer technical support, to Expanding Services for Children and Youth grantees. Finally, grantees will have developed consistent national evaluation measures for Expanding Services for Children and Youth grantees as well as assisted such grantees in developing and conducting their own internal evaluations. Grantees will have planned a national dissemination strategy to share promising practices, outcomes and resources nationwide. As part of this, the grantee will work toward developing and recommending nationwide standards for services for children exposed to domestic violence.
