Financial Sector Support Program: The United States Agency for International Development in Bolivia (USAID/Bolivia) is seeking applications for an Assistance Agreement for funding a Financial Sector Support Program to increase access to financial services in underserved areas and segments of the Bolivian population. The authority for the RFA is found in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended. The anticipated outputs of the activity are: dialogue with the Bolivian government to find areas of common interest to further the goal of increased access to financial services for underserved areas, sector coordination with financial sector trade associations and other representative institutions as an important mechanism to voice the interests of financial institutions and their clients, local capacity building, public awareness raising for effective advocacy and consumer protection, economic policy analysis and recommendations, and quantitative financial sector indicators. While specific financial institution support and/or funding of pilot tests of financial innovations are not requirements of the activity, depending upon the type of application submitted could form part of the final award.
