The administering program office is the Office for Domestic Preparedness (ODP). . The Governor of each state has designated a State Administering Agency (SAA) to apply for and administer Office for Domestic Preparedness (ODP) funds. Select/designated SAAs are the only entities eligible to apply for this grant.
Grant Description
Funding restricted to designated SAAs as described in this announcement and further set forth in the program guidnance document/announcement provided by ODP. OPD's program guidance document/announcement can be accessed via the link listed below. . Due to the different categories of transit systems eligible for funding, information on "award ceiling" and "award floor" funding amounts will be provided by ODP. . Funding is available in **designated** urban areas to address security and preparedness enhancements for **specified** transit systems. $107,900,000 is available for rail transit; $22,357,076 is available for intra-city bus; and $5,000,000 is available for ferries. Transit agencies receiving these funds must become fully engaged in the development of regional security solutions to address critical needs in the states and urban areas they serve. . ODP is one of the program offices which administers non-disaster grants for DHS. ODP was transferred to DHS when the agency was established. However, ODPs grant management system, web site, etc., are situated within its' legacy agency's IT system.
