Fiscal Year 2006 Request for Proposals (RFP) for Point Source and Toxic Information Management/Data Analysis Support to the Chesapeake Bay Program: Some of the awards may involve or relate to geospatial information. Under Section 117(d) of the Clean Water Act, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has the authority to issue assistance agreements (cooperative agreements or grants) for the purposes of protecting and restoring the Chesapeake Bay's ecosystem. Section 117(d) allows the following activities as well as others: information distribution, public outreach, specificinvestigations or technical studies, activities that maintain Chesapeake Bay Program operations,testing of improvements of treatment facilities, and monitoring and habitat restoration projects.The Task listed in Section I and Appendix C are eligible for funding under Section 117(d).
