Fisher Reintroduction Disease Pre-release Screening: The cooperator will screen fishers for the proposed fisher reintroduction scheduled to occur Fall/Winter 2009-2011 for potential fitness-limiting pathogens known to occur in fisher populations. This screening will entail running all samples from fishers being held in captivity awaiting release into the reintroduction area in duplicate for exposure to parvovirus and distemper virus. Duplicate samples from an individual must show identical results in order to be finalized.
