Fortymile Caribou Herd (FCH) Monitoring, Alaska: The purpose of this prop;osed p;roject iks to cost-share with a partner to conduct the monitoring of the Fortymile Caribou Herd (primary objective), and secondarily to conduct monitoring on alternate prey species. Monitoring of the herd is critical for making sound management decisioln on seasons, bag limits, quotas and to develop decisions and mitigation for land uses. Monitoring of other species is important to assure that alternate subsistence resources are also managed to sustain distribution and availability to subsistence harversters.
