Frederick Douglass Institute Student Think Tank: Through this agreement, the NPS and KU FDI will work together with a think tank of youth and faculty to explore the park audience experience at several national parks as it relates to broadening our cultural and heritage stories. By attending and/or participating in park events and programs, engaging in dialogue with park staff, and through observation and discourse, the think tank will outline different facets of the park audience experience to enhance our understanding of the ways people experience In collaboration with KU FDI, the NPS will share best practices with recreation professionals on how best to engage audiences and be agents of understanding, reconciliation, and change in the world today.
