GP CESU: Conduct Visitor Use Study at Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve: This announcement is to provide public notice of the NPS's intention to award financial assistance to the following activities without competition. Kansas State University is a member of the Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit in Great Plains Network. The objective of this agreement is to study visitor use of Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, including visitor use patterns and visitor perceptions of preserve resources, stories, and activities/events. Student researchers will collect data on visitor use (surveys and GPS tracking) and visitor perception on the preserve facilities and opportunities for visitors. A workshop and report will be generated. The data will provide preserve managers information to improve the visitor experience and may be used to assist in future visitor related development.
