Gender Mela: The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate General in Mumbai (PAS Mumbai) seeks proposals for a project entitled “Gender Mela.” Mumbai is home to numerous non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working to advance women's safety, empowerment, and equality. However, they often lack opportunities to network and engage with each other in order to partner and build on synergies. The proposed “Gender Mela” will close that gap through a one-day networking event for NGOs and others working on women's issues. It will feature a big open space for people to gather and interact. It will also have smaller enclosures/booths where NGOs will have an opportunity to showcase their work, provide information and display pictures and such. (Please refer to the full announcement available under 'related documents' tab).
