George M. O Brien Urology Research Centers (P50): The purpose of this program is to establish George M. O Brien Urology Research Centers to create a research community for major urologic diseases and syndromes within the NIDDK mission interests. The broad objectives of these centers are to: 1) provide an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary foundation and resource for collaboration among basic, translational, and clinical researchers in the field of urologic disease; 2) attract established investigators with unique scientific expertise and new investigators to study urological diseases and disorders within NIDDK mission interests, and 3) integrate urologic research into the surrounding institution.
