- Grant Description
- The objective of this effort is to create a radar system that shall collect and archive data covering a wider "city-sized" area of 10km (threshold) to 20km (objective) diameter spot. The data generated from this radar shall be of sufficient quality to support all the Gotcha modes. This system will also be able to support near real-time data distribution for ground processing. Utilizing a dual, high/low band radar configuration will improve CCD and enable foliage penetration (FOPEN), with simultaneous UHF/X as the objective, and successive dual band operation being the threshold.
