- CDCs Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, "Grants for Traumatic Injury Biomechanics Research." $1,000,000 [this amount is an estimate, and subject to the availability of funds] will be available in fiscal year 2007 to fund approximately three awards. The purpose of the research is to solicit investigator-initiated research that will help expand and advance our understanding of non-occupational unintentional and violence-related injuries, and to minimize the consequences of injuries when they do occur..
