- Grant Description
- Veterinary Services (VS), through the National Center for Animal Health Programs Staff (NCAHP), has limited funding available for educational activities and field projects that study Johne's disease (Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis). Specifically, strong consideration will be given to projects that address the validation of diagnostic methodology, or epidemiology of M. paratuberculosis infections in animal species. Continuation is encouraged of existing projects sponsored by previous APHIS grants or cooperative agreements. Also encouraged are collaborations between States, institutions of higher education, hospitals, or other nonprofit organizations.
