- Grant Description
- These grants support projects to preserve and create intellectual access to collections, which, because of their intellectual content and value as cultural artifacts, are considered highly important for research, education, and public programming in the humanities. Collections may include, but are not limited to, books, journals, newspapers, manuscript and archival materials, maps, still and moving images, sound recordings, and objects of art and material culture. When projects focus on a coherent subject-based collection that contains various formats, applicants may request support for preservation and access activities that would be appropriate to their distinctive nature, condition, and eventual use. For more information about this grant program, contact NEH's Division of Preservation and Access at 202-606-8570 or preservation@neh.gov.
