Grazing Land Assistance: Applicant will be conducting inventories of rangeland, pasturelands and wildlife lands that are impacted by the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP), Grassland Reserve Program (GRP), and Conservation Security Program (CSP). Applicant will be responsible for assisting NRCS in providing technical assistance necessary to inventory grazing land resources, and designing grazing systems. The objective of the agreement(s) is to conduct comprehensive grazing land resources inventories so that NRCS Field offices can provide technical assistance to producers in the planning, surveying, designing, layout, and implementation of prescribed grazing plans that meet grazing land conservation objectives. All assistance provided must meet USDA standards and specifications as set forth in Departmental manuals, handbooks, and Field Office Technical Guide, conservation planning, conservation practice application, and other areas of technical assistance. The applicant(s) shall provide technical expertise for grazing land resource inventory procedure, prescribed grazing practice design, and training and use of other Specialists as required. Examples of how technical expertise will be used include: conservation plan development, program contract development, grazing lands management, drought mitigation for grazing lands, wildlife habitat management, plant community ecology, in-service training, producer workshops, one-on-one assistance to producers, conservation promotion and marketing throughout the area. The applicant(s) will use the NRCS three-phase, nine-step planning process and report for the NRCS the appropriate data elements associated with the assistance in Customer Service Toolkit, and enter the data into the conservation accomplishment tracking system. Inventory mapping will be completed using ARCVIEW mapping software. Specific work product items required for submittal in a budget format will include: extent of grazing land acres inventoried, extent of prescribed grazing systems designed, extent of grazing systems evaluated in follow-up reviews, number of producers assisted, number and acres of conservation plans developed.
