HIV/AIDS Initiative for Minority Men (AIMM): The mission of the OMH is to improve the health of racial and ethnic minority populations through the development of health policies and programs to eliminate health disparities. The OMH serves as the focal point in the HHS for leadership, policy development and coordination, service demonstrations, information exchange, coalition and partnership building, and related efforts to address the health needs of racial and ethnic minorities. Consistent with the goals of the Presidents National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS), the AIMM Initiative employs an evidence-based disease management and preventive health programs and support services that targets young racial and ethnic MSM and young minority males living with HIV/AIDS or at high-risk for HIV infections to increase access to care and reduce health disparities. The AIMM aligns with the goals of the NHAS to: Reduce new HIV infections; Increase access to care and improve health outcomes for people living with HIV; Reduce HIV-related disparities and health inequities; and Achieve a more coordinated National response to the HIV epidemic.
