- The purpose of the program is to: (1) develop and disseminate provider educational and training materials to medical and nursing association members; (2) promote HIV testing as part of routine medical care; (3) promote the incorporation of HIV prevention into the medical care of HIV infected persons; (4) foster the exchange of information, ideas, and experiences of health care providers on what works for preventing HIV; and (5) stimulate involvement and participation of regional, state, and local chapters. The estimated funding date is September 1, 2004.
