Competition is limited to PRCs funded under PA 04003 because they are uniquely positioned to perform, oversee, and coordinate community-based participatory research that promotes the field of prevention research due to their established relationships with community partners. The supplemental projects in this RFA complement ongoing prevention research projects being conducted as part of the CDC Prevention Research Program.
