Grant Description

SPECIAL NOTE: THIS IS A DRAFT REQUEST FOR APPLICATION (RFA) The Global Research Activity (GRA) and Country Research Activity (CRA) described in this RFA will provide USAID with two new mechanisms by which to conduct health research for the development and testing of new and better tools, technologies, approaches, policies and/or interventions to improve the health status of infants, children, mothers, and families in developing countries. These two research activities fall under a newly developed health research framework of the Office of Health, Infectious Diseases, and Nutrition, HIDN, of the Global Health Bureau. They will be awarded at the end of FY 03 (September) or in early FY 04 (October). GRA and CRA, along with a range of other existing and future USAID health, nutrition and family planning research activities, will provide the Agency with important mechanisms to address critical global health issues.
