History Comes Alive Outreach Initative - LIHO: This announcement is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service's intention to award financial assistance for the following activities without competition. Looking for Lincoln Heritage Coalition has knowledge on the history of Lincoln in Central Illinois and knowledge on History Comes Alive program logistics and local area. Goal is for our audiences (youth and families) to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of historical context. Additionally, build a relevant basis for them to connect to the historical stories. Objective is to identify and connect with under-served youth audiences within the Heritage Area and make appropriate initial contacts with the youth to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of historical context and build a relevant basis for them to connect to the historical stories. Task is to build strong, relevant programs for the public through oversight and administration of the outreach programs and coordinate and provide transportation for under-served youth attending park programs within Central Illinois. This will engage recipients, partners, communities, and/or visitors in shared environmental stewardship. This will motivate its youth participants to become involved in the natural, cultural and/or historical resource protection of their communities and beyond.
