Grant Description: Secretarys Forecast Summary CDC-RFA-PS-07-713CDCs Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, "Improving Laboratory Infrastructure and Systems for Care and Treatment of Patients with TB and HIV within Lusaka Provinces of the Republic of Zambia under the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)." Approximately $300,000 will be available in fiscal year 2007 to fund approximately one award. The purpose of the program is to improve the quality of integrated TB/HIV care available to people in the Kafue, Chongwe and Luangwa Districts in Lusaka Province in the Republic of Zambia, through training health staff, improving laboratory infrastructure, and enhancing referral systems between health facilities, both public and private.
