Additional Information on Eligibility: Delegated authority has been given to Nigerian National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS) under the national blood policy through the Federal Ministry of Health in Nigeria. National Blood Transfusion Services is the only department of the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Health that has the mandate in Nigeria to implement and/or coordinate the blood safety components listed in the application instructions.
Grant Description: The intent of this collaboration is to strengthen the capacity of The National Blood Transfusion Service to develop and implement policies, procedures and guidelines to recruit donors; collect, process, and deliver quality safe blood; and monitor and evaluate the national blood service of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
